Genie GS-2632 Scissor Lift: Specs, Price and Buying Guide
Last updated: October 2026
The Genie GS-2632 is a 32 in wide electric slab scissor lift with a 26 ft 1 in platform height (32 ft 1 in working height) and a 500 lb capacity. It is narrow enough for standard doorways, drives at full height and is one of the most common 26 ft scissor lifts in rental fleets, so there are plenty of used units to choose from.
This guide covers the GS-2632’s specs and features, how it compares to the JLG ES2632 and Skyjack SJ3226 E, what it costs new and used, and what to check before you buy one.

Specs are from Genie’s North American spec sheets (2020 and 2026). Genie redesigned the GS-2632 as part of its next-generation slab line launched in late 2024, and its 2026 North American spec sheet lists the same ratings shown above. Always check the serial plate and decals on the unit you are buying. Some older units are listed at about 4,400 lb.

Key Features
- Fits through doorways: at 32 in wide with folding guardrails (6 ft 4 in stowed height), it rolls through standard 36 in doorways.
- Drives at full height: operators can reposition at 26 ft without lowering, at up to 0.5 mph.
- Zero inside turning radius: it turns in place, which helps in tight aisles and rooms.
- 3 ft extension deck: rated for 250 lb, for reaching over obstacles.
- E-Drive: newer units use Genie’s all-electric drive, with electric drive motors and fewer hydraulic hoses than older hydraulic-drive units.
- Load sense and indoor/outdoor modes: units built to the 2020 ANSI A92.20 standards stop lifting when the platform is overloaded and limit height and occupants in outdoor mode.
- Battery options: flooded lead-acid batteries are standard, with AGM and lithium-ion options on newer units.
- Non-marking tires: protect finished floors in occupied buildings.

How It Compares
The GS-2632’s closest rivals are the JLG ES2632 and the Skyjack SJ3226 E. All three are 32 in wide, 26 ft class slab scissor lifts that drive at full height.
| Specification | Genie GS-2632 | JLG ES2632 | Skyjack SJ3226 E |
|---|---|---|---|
| Platform height | 26 ft 1 in | 25 ft 5 in | 25 ft 7 in |
| Working height | 32 ft 1 in | About 31 ft 5 in | 31 ft 7 in |
| Capacity | 500 lb | 507 lb | 500 lb |
| Extension deck capacity | 250 lb | 265 lb | 250 lb |
| Occupants (indoor / outdoor) | 2 / 1 | 2 / 1 | 2 / 1 |
| Width | 32 in | 32 in | 32 in |
| Stowed length | 96 in | 94.3 in | 91.6 in |
| Weight | 4,729 lb | 4,400 lb | 4,200 lb |
| FleetNow used prices (middle half) | $6,300 to $8,700 | $6,000 to $8,800 (2632ES) | $13,400 to $16,500 (mostly 2022 to 2024) |
| New price (dealer) | About $21,550 to $22,900 | About $21,400 to $24,000 | About $19,450 street; $33,955 list |
The GS-2632 has the highest platform height of the three, while the JLG and Skyjack are a little lighter and shorter. Used GS-2632 and JLG 2632ES prices are similar because both are common rental machines; most used Skyjack SJ3226 listings on FleetNow are newer units, which is why they cost more. JLG specs are for the current ES2632 (formerly 2632ES); outdoor capacity on the JLG drops to 275 lb.
Need more capacity or height? The Genie GS-2646 has the same 26 ft platform height with a 46 in wide platform and 1,000 lb capacity, and the Genie GS-3232 reaches 32 ft 1 in. See our Genie scissor lift guide for the full lineup and our Genie GS-3232 guide for the next size up.

Genie GS-2632 Price
A new Genie GS-2632 costs about $21,550 to $22,900 from dealers advertising 2025 and 2026 units. Used units cost much less: most GS-2632 listings on FleetNow are 2016 to 2021 models priced between $6,300 and $8,700.
| Model years | FleetNow used asking prices | Typical price |
|---|---|---|
| 2011 to 2015 | $6,300 to $11,900 | 2 listings |
| 2016 to 2018 | $5,100 to $7,800 | About $6,950 (27 listings) |
| 2019 to 2021 | $8,200 to $12,200 | About $8,950 (10 listings) |
| 2025 and 2026 (new) | $21,550 to $22,900 | Dealer prices |
Used prices are FleetNow asking prices from the first 40 Genie GS-2632 listings in October 2026; typical price is the median. Most listed units show 150 to 350 hours. New prices are advertised dealer prices and change often.
What drives the price of a used GS-2632:
- Model year: units built to the 2020 ANSI standards, with load sense and E-Drive, sell for more.
- Batteries: a worn battery pack can cost several hundred dollars or more to replace, so check battery age.
- Condition: deck and rail damage, leaks and worn tires lower the price.
- Records: a current annual inspection and service history add value.
What to Check Before Buying a Used Genie GS-2632
- Serial plate and year: confirm the model year, whether it has E-Drive or hydraulic drive, and whether it has load sense. Ask a Genie dealer to check the serial number for open safety bulletins.
- Batteries and charger: check battery age, corrosion and water level, and make sure the charger completes a full cycle.
- Function test: raise to full height (about 43 seconds), drive and steer at height, and watch for jerky movement or the platform drifting down.
- Pothole guards and tilt alarm: the guards should drop as the platform rises. A PHS fault code usually points to a damaged guard or limit switch, and LL means the machine is off level.
- Load sense: on newer units, ask for the last calibration record.
- Hydraulics: check the lift cylinder, hoses and fittings for leaks, and the drive motors on hydraulic-drive units.
- Extension deck and platform: check that the deck slides and locks, and look for bent rails, a damaged gate and missing decals.
- Chassis and scissor arms: look for rust, cracks, bent arms and worn pins or slide pads.
- Tires: check for chunking and flat spots on the solid non-marking tires.

Operating Video
This video from the International Finishing Trades Institute walks through operating a Genie GS-2632 as an ANSI Group A, Type 3 scissor lift. It is a helpful overview, but it does not replace operator training and familiarization on the machine you will use.
