JLG 1350SJP Telescopic Boom Lift: Specs, Price and Buying Guide

Last updated: November 2026

The JLG 1350SJP is one of JLG’s Ultra Series telescopic boom lifts. It reaches a 135 ft platform height and 80 ft of horizontal outreach with a 500 lb load, or carries up to 1,000 lb in a smaller working envelope. An 8 ft JibPLUS, extendable axles and four-wheel drive make it a go-to machine for tall steel, industrial plants, bridges, stadiums and other work that a 120 ft boom cannot reach.

This guide covers JLG 1350SJP specs, how it compares with the 1200SJP and Genie SX-125 XC, current FleetNow prices, and what to check before you buy a used unit.

Specs are from JLG dealer spec sheets for current Tier 4 Final units. The 1,000 lb height and outreach figures come from JLG’s operator manual for earlier serial numbers, and some dealer sheets list 80 ft of outreach next to the 1,000 lb rating, so check the capacity zones on the machine’s decals and control system. Older units may have different engines and weights; always check the serial plate.

JLG 1350SJP Key Features

  • Dual capacity: a selectable envelope lets the operator choose 500 lb for maximum height and reach or 1,000 lb for heavier crews and materials.
  • JibPLUS: an 8 ft jib with 130° of vertical and 180° of horizontal movement positions the 3 x 8 ft platform around pipes, steel and overhangs.
  • Extendable axles: axles extend to 12 ft 6 in for stability at height and retract to 8 ft 2 in for transport.
  • Rough terrain ready: full-time four-wheel drive, an oscillating axle, 45% gradeability and foam-filled tires.
  • Fast and simple: about 95 seconds from the ground to 135 ft, with a swing-out engine tray for service access.
  • Jobsite options: an AC outlet at the platform, an optional SkyPower generator and SkyGuard secondary guarding, plus a telematics-ready harness.

Used JLG 1350SJP Buying Checklist

  • Annual inspections and records: ask for the last annual inspection, the service history and any boom or jib repairs.
  • Boom and jib: look for dents, cracked welds, worn wear pads, damaged hoses and cables, and drift when the boom is held at height.
  • Extendable axles: confirm the axles extend and retract fully and that the interlock limits height when they are retracted.
  • Capacity system: test the 500 / 1,000 lb envelope selection, load sensing and envelope warnings.
  • Engine and emissions: check the Deutz engine for leaks, smoke and fault codes, and review hours against the service log.
  • Drive and steering: test all steering modes, four-wheel drive, brakes and the oscillating axle.
  • Turntable: check the swing bearing and drive for play and noise through a full 360° rotation.
  • Platform and controls: check the platform rotator, gate, lanyard anchors, emergency stops and the auxiliary descent system.
  • Tires: look for chunked or uneven foam-filled tires, which are costly to replace.

JLG 1350SJP FAQs

It has a dual capacity: 500 lb (227 kg) across the full envelope or 1,000 lb (454 kg) in a restricted envelope with less height and outreach. The operator selects the capacity at the platform.

Horizontal outreach is 80 ft (24.38 m) with 500 lb. Earlier JLG manuals list about 70 ft with the 1,000 lb capacity selected.

About 45,000 lb (20,412 kg). It is 8 ft 2 in wide with the axles retracted and about 38 ft 11 in long for transport, so plan for a heavy-haul trailer and permits.
