JLG 800S Review: Specs, Price, Pros & Cons
Last updated: October 19, 2026
The JLG 800S is an 80-ft straight-boom telescopic boom lift built for outdoor construction, industrial and utility work. It reaches 71 ft of horizontal outreach and carries up to 1,000 lb restricted or 500 lb unrestricted, making it one of the stronger lifters in its class.
It comes in 2WD or 4WD with a Tier 4 Final Deutz diesel or a Ford dual-fuel engine, and reaches full height in under 70 seconds. Unlike the jib-equipped JLG 860SJ, the 800S has no jib, which gives it a simpler boom and higher capacity.
