If there’s a risk of falling objects on a job site, OSHA requires the use of a protective helmet.


As you can see in this demonstration, wearing a hard hat on a construction site could mean the difference between life and death.


In this experiment, wrenches and hammers were dropped from a scissor lift 20 feet high on watermelons and pumpkins — simulating unlucky workers on a job site.


As you can see, the melons and gourds with helmets on were left intact.


Those without helmets did not have a good time.
